India will soon have its first “brain chamber” manufacturing company, and its first bio- fabric manufacturing firm will begin operations here, the government said Monday.
In a statement, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said the government would allocate Rs 1,000 crore for the development of the country’s first brain chamber manufacturing facility.
“The facility will have a capacity of 60,000 units, including 50,000 each for production of bio- and non-biomolecular materials,” the ministry said in a statement.
“It will be built in the city of Vadodara, the largest city in the state of Karnataka.”
The facility, the statement said, would also have a manufacturing capacity of 10,000 products a month.
The statement did not provide any specific timeline for the facility’s completion.
